Cellulite is a problem that affects 95% of women of all ages, shapes and sizes – even some very slim women have cellulite, regardless of race, health condition or body weight – and every year in the U.S. we spend millions of dollars on creams and gels trying to get rid of those stubborn dimpled, fatty deposits. Cellulite can make some women feel very self-conscious, particularly in summer months when long skirts and trousers just aren’t comfortable, and it is very frustrating when even the strictest of diets don’t seem to help. External characteristics are its specific location (lower buttocks, outer and posterior thighs and hips), tissue lumpiness, dryness and flabbiness of the skin.

What causes cellulite?

A number of factors contribute to the development of cellulite. They include:

  • Weight gain, smoking, stress, crash diets and poor nutrition
  • Genetic predisposition to fat accumulation
  • Hormone changes throughout life, such as pregnancy and menopause
  • Loss of tone and elasticity due to age.
  • Lack of exercise and a sedentary lifestyle

The radial waves were adapted to efficiently treat dermatologic and cosmetic conditions. The low energy unfocused acoustic radial waves scientifically proved to have a large metabolism of the fat cells. The unfocused acoustic wave effect reduces the fat tissue edema and improves the lymphatic drainage of the toxins, it stimulates collagen formation, while the skin becomes more elastic and its firmness is visible after only a few treatments.  Beneath the surface, several essential physiological processes occur as a result of the deep mechanical wave: neovascularization of the subcutaneous tissue, collagen genesis and formation of stronger skin connective tissue, enhanced blood supply to the supportive connective tissue, improved lymphatic drainage and acceleration of the lymphatic system activity and increased metabolic activity which reduces the fat tissue oedema. This stimulates the fat cells and causes them to break away from the network of connective tissues in the skin. The excess deposits of fat are then dissolved and excreted through the bloodstream by the kidneys and bowels.

A minimum of 12, full consecutive treatments on one area, done twice a week are typically required for long lasting results.  Results will vary upon lifestyle and exercise.  Most clients who follow our protocol have long lasting results with minimal maintenance treatments to follow.
